Bhavar Kada Waterfalls (Activity)

As part of my CAS Activity Experience, I went on a trek to Bhavar Kada Waterfalls from the school. It was a 1-day trek on 25th July 2025. The journey started at 5:30 am and ended at 10:30 pm. Additionally, the experience consisted of a 4 hour trek to the waterfall. We trekked on the mountains till the waterfall and climbed back up. The trek was exhausting but at the same time it was adventurous too. Though the trek was somewhat challenging, it made me realise my strengths and weaknesses; overall, about my physical health. The trek even taught me a lot of information about natural resources. We even experienced rain while trekking and it was a lot of fun, and I enjoyed it a lot, knowing myself and knowing about the natural resources.

LO 1 – Identify own Strengths and develop areas for growth

The trek was quite challenging as it was muddy, steep, and, on top of that it was raining, making it even more difficult to trek. The rain and the mud caused us to slip. The trek was very exhausting and challenging, and throughout the trek we required a lot of energy, mobility, focus, and stability. I identified my strengths, which are that I can remain focused throughout the journey of trekking, I have strong stability. Though the weaknesses which I identified in myself are that I get drained out very quickly and lose my energy way too fast. This experience allowed me to work on my physical health by bringing it into practice in my daily life, and how I can develop the skills.

LO 4 Show commitment to and Perseverance in CAS experience

At the beginning of the trek, things went smoothly, but after a while, it started getting exhausting and challenging to reach the waterfall, and at that point, we started to give up and were demotivated to continue the trek. Yet, we gave our best to reach the waterfall and be motivated throughout the trek. There we, individuals, commit to finish the trek with our best presence and make the best moments and enjoy it. Throughout the trek I developed the skills of caring, risk-taker, and open-mindedness. While trekking, there were a few situations where it was a bit steep. I took a risk by sliding in a few situations and at times by progressing ahead while sitting and moving forward. Further, I used the  skill of being open minded and caring. While trekking, I kept in mind that my actions should not affect the people around me. For example, if I am in the situation of slipping down, then I would keep in mind that I don’t hold someone around me and make them fall with me. There I used the skill of caring. And I was open-minded while adapting all the human resources while trekking, whether there are animals/ insects around me or anything else. This experience taught me how to be a problem and how I can achieve them and overcome a difficult situation.

To conclude, the overall experience was excellent. I gained knowledge about natural resources and developed different skills, and also identified my strengths and weaknesses. At last, my experience of trekking and having fun at the waterfall was  incredible.
