One Day Trip/Trek to Bhavar Kada Waterfalls, Near Dang (Activity)

Date: 25th July, 2025

Location: Bhavar Kada Waterfalls, located near the region of Dang.

On 25th July, the Fountainhead School DP team organized a one-day trip for students. It was a trek to Bhavar Kada Waterfalls, located near the Dang region of Gujarat. The experience included an approximately four-hour trek through forest trails to reach the waterfall. The trek involved steep slopes and muddy pathways, which made the journey both challenging and exciting while testing our physical strength and endurance.

Moving further, there were several learning outcomes that I achieved from participating in this one-day trek.

Learning Outcome 1: Identify Own Strengths and Develop Areas for Growth

The four-hour hike to Bhavar Kada Waterfalls was an eye-opening experience that tested both my physical and mental strength. While walking through slippery mud trails and rocky paths, I realized several strengths within myself. I discovered that staying calm and not panicking in difficult situations was one of my biggest strengths while dealing with challenges in nature.

I also noticed that I was able to motivate and encourage my classmates, helping them maintain balance and overcome their fears during difficult sections of the trek. At the same time, the trek made me aware of areas where I can improve. I realized that improving my stamina and leg strength would help me handle long treks more comfortably, as I felt more tired than expected during some steep climbs. This experience helped me understand how I react to physical challenges and how regular exercise and endurance training could help me improve in the future.

Learning Outcome 2: Demonstrate That Challenges Have Been Taken / Developing New Skills in the Process

The trek was a demanding challenge that required constant focus and effort to complete successfully. The muddy and slippery paths made the trail difficult, especially while walking down steep slopes. During these moments, I had to quickly learn basic trekking techniques such as maintaining balance, placing my steps carefully, and supporting others when needed.

Through this experience, I developed important skills such as resilience, teamwork, and awareness of my surroundings. Even when I experienced small slips or felt physically tired, I continued moving forward with determination. These moments taught me how to stay positive during challenging situations and view difficulties as opportunities to learn and grow.

Conclusion

Overall, the trek was an unforgettable and meaningful experience. It allowed me to connect with nature while also helping me discover more about my inner strength and personal limits. The journey helped me better understand my abilities, while also encouraging me to work on improving my physical fitness and endurance for future adventures.

Thank you.
