For my CAS experience, I took part in Anand Utsav, where my friends and I organized and conducted fun games for the school staff members, including the didis and bhaiyas. We planned three simple but enjoyable games so that everyone could participate and have a good time. The first game was a partner activity where they had to balance a balloon together without dropping it, which required coordination and teamwork. The second game was balancing a lemon on a spoon, which tested their focus and control. The third game was tug-of-war, where we divided them into two equal teams, which made it fun, competitive, and full of energy. The whole experience was very lively and enjoyable. It was really nice to see everyone laughing, participating, and enjoying themselves. I liked interacting with them in a fun way and being part of creating such a positive atmosphere.
Through this experience, I improved as a Communicator and a Collaborator. I communicated with the participants while explaining the games and worked closely with my friends to manage everything smoothly. This helped me understand the importance of teamwork and clear communication.
LO1 – Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth :
During this experience, I was able to notice some of my strengths, especially in communication and teamwork. I could explain the game rules clearly and interact with the participants in a confident and friendly way, which helped them understand and enjoy the activities. I also realized that I am comfortable working in a team and sharing my ideas during the planning stage. At the same time, I understood that I still need to improve my confidence when handling larger groups and giving instructions more clearly. Overall, this experience helped me understand what I am good at and what I can work on to improve further.
LO3 – Initiate and plan a CAS experience :
I was actively involved in planning and organizing the games for Anand Utsav. Along with my friends, we discussed different ideas and chose games that were simple, fun, and easy for everyone to take part in. We also thought about how each game would be conducted, how to divide the participants, and how to keep everything running smoothly. Through this process, I understood how important planning and organization are for making any activity successful. It also helped me use my creativity while coming up with ideas and making sure the games were enjoyable for everyone.
LO5 – Demonstrate skills and benefits of working collaboratively :
This experience really showed me how important teamwork is. I worked closely with my friends to set up and manage the games, and we supported each other throughout the whole activity. We divided the work, communicated properly, and stepped in to help whenever someone needed it. Because of this, everything ran smoothly and felt much easier to handle. Working together also made the experience more fun, and it helped us create a positive and enjoyable environment for everyone who participated.
