In my CAS Creativity project, I intended to conduct a program named Anand Utsav and this event was an appreciation event to our school staff. The aim of the event was to have them appreciate the efforts they have put and to have them have a day where they can relax, play games and have fun. The organizing of this event enabled me to apply creativity in the process of planning and organizing various aspects of the event.I was to aid in organizing and planning the various aspects of the event within the school. These involved determining the theme, scheduling games among the staff, setting the day schedule and liaising with others to ensure that things went on well. As it was necessary to make the staff feel valued, we concentrated on establishing some fun and involving activities that the staff would enjoy together.

LO 1: Recognise individual strengths and work on areas of improvement.This project has helped me to understand that I am effective in organization of ideas and planning activities. I liked to think of various games and how to make the event fun. Concurrently, I also got to know that I require further skills in time management and delegation as a person who has several tasks.

LO 2: Be able to show that some difficulties have been taken on board, and new skills have been formed in the course.It did not come easily when planning an event since there were numerous factors to put into consideration like people coordination, time, and ensuring that everything was set beforehand. These problems made me work on more effective planning, communication, and problem-solving.

LO 3: Show the process of launching and designing a CAS experience.A lot of planning was involved in the beginning of this project. My assistance was with brainstorming the idea of the grateful event, activities, and schedule. This experience gave me an idea of the significance of preparation and clear planning towards a successful event.

LO 4: Demonstrate dedication and persistence to CAS experiences.I was determined to make the event successful through out the preparation and execution of the event. I would still work even when they had minor challenges or last minute changes to do so that everything was in order to support the staff.

LO 5: Be able to show the competencies and understand the advantages of cooperation.One individual could not have been able to organize this event. I collaborated with my group members, exchanging ideas, allocating roles, and helping one another. This teamwork enabled me to learn the importance of teamwork in ensuring that tasks are done more effectively and in an innovative way.

All in all, the planning of Anand Utsav was an important CAS experience. It provided me a chance to be creative when planning something that would be a sign of appreciation to the school staff. It helped me gain skills in planning, team work and leadership and it was fulfilling to see the staff enjoy the event that we had toiled hard to make.
