Animania

Being a part of the Anime Club was a fun CAS experience that required both creative and critical thinking.even though the club is named anime club, it was more like a group that studied different parts of stories and visual presentation in animated series and movies. We looked at scenes from different anime and talked about things like color grading, composition, symbolism and also literary devices like foreshadowing during the sessions. This helped me see anime in a more technical way, not just as entertainment.

LO2: Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process The challenges I faced while participating in the Anime Club involved developing the skills to analyze the media portrayed. This involved engaging in the scenes, not just watching them but actively thinking about the elements involved in creating the scenes including the effect of such elements on the audience. This has helped me to improve my critical thinking skills, including the use of narrative techniques to portray the story within the scenes.

LO6: Demonstrate engagement with issues of global significance Anime is a form of media that is originally from Japan and is consumed globally. I engaged in a different form of storytelling and aesthetics from a different cultural background through this club.
