For the CAS experience on 25th July 2025 , I went on a one day CAS trip to trek to Bhavar Kada Waterfalls . We started early in the morning to leave from surat and it was an exhausting trip from which we reached back to surat at around 10 . The trek itself lasted 4 hours through a slippery and muddy trail during the rain that continuously poured down on us . Despite wearing a raincoat I was drenched and muddy , which itself was unique experience in contrast to the regular strict routines I follow . Through this one day trip I was able to learn quite a few things not only about the nature but myself as well .
Learning outcome 1: Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth
The trek was both long and tiring , it was risky at a few points and simple to walk through at others . Focus and determination was a must while completing the trek , as even losing focus for a second could end up in falling in the slippery path . I was able to identify that though I was drained by the end of the trek yet it was my determination that led me to complete it and gave a wonderful experience to see a waterfall brimming with rainwater .I was calm and collected even during some of the most difficult parts of the trek . Seeing people fall in the mud , scared me slightly but I moved forward calmly and cautiously . The trek was an eye opener for me to help me understand where I stand in terms of both physical and mental strength.

Learning Outcome 2: Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills.
The trek was not a stroll in the park , it was tough and required quick thinking along with team work . The most challenging part might have been when I had to move down the unpredictable path of moving, wet rocks where one wrong move could lead me to fall badly . Each decision was quick and clear cut , while remaining vigilant for the tree branches or insects that might be on the path . I had never done any such activity due to which it was tough to adjust to the tricky path but soon enough I was able to understand that by observing the surroundings and the people ahead of me , the trek would become slightly easy . Each slip , fall and steep path helped me learn how to make immediate resolutions and always be ready for any new challenge that might approach me
Learning Outcome 5 – Demonstrate skills and benefits of working collaboratively.
Team work was very important to finish the trek , it would have been very difficult to complete the trek without the continuous support of my friends . From the preventing small slips to communicating on how to step so one wouldn’t fall or handing a helping hand to move down the steep slopes all required simultaneous collaboration and trust , this made the trek more systematic and simple for all of us .

Learning Outcome 6 – Engagement with issues of global significance.
Small steps helps in making a huge difference , to prevent the pollution of such a beautiful and scenic trek , I made sure to not dispose any form of garbage like plastic bottles during the trek , though it had become tough to carry the empty bottle I made sure not to throw it and harm the environment as pollution and destruction of nature has become a significant issue which not only harms the biodiversity the area but also impacts our life .

In the end I was able to reflect upon my physical and mental strengths , my ability to adapt and work cooperatively with others .
