Bhavarkhada Waterfall (Activity:- Trek )

Type of CAS: Activity
Location: Bhavarkhada Waterfall, Maharashtra

Participating in the Bhavarkhada Waterfall Trek which school organised as a part of anubhav program was not just a physically demanding experience it was a journey of personal growth, planning, and reflection. The Trek happened during the rainy session which made this an another challenge. During this trek the learning outcome which I focused on were.

LO1:- Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth

Before the trek, I considered myself fairly fit, but the steep inclines and uneven paths really tested my endurance. I realised I have strong determination and a poor level of physical fitness. However, I need to work on my flexibility and breathing control during intense climbs. This experience helped me understand that trekking involves both physical and mental stamina.

LO2: Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process

The trek was challenging due to the slippery rocks and thick vegetation. I was initially nervous while crossing a narrow ledge near the waterfall. But with the guidance of the group leader, I managed it and learned techniques like using three-point contact and maintaining balance.

LO4: Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences

At some points, especially during the climb back uphill, I felt tired and was tempted to stop. But I pushed through by motivating myself and supporting others. Completing the trek gave me a sense of accomplishment and reminded me of the importance of not giving up when things get tough.

LO5: Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively

The entire trek was a team effort. We helped each other climb tricky paths, shared supplies, and encouraged slower members without judgment. This experience strengthened my collaboration skills, and I realised how important it is to have a team mindset in physical activities.

The Bhavarkhada Waterfall Trek helped me grow physically, emotionally, and ethically. It wasn’t just about reaching a destination—it was about discovering resilience, teamwork, and respect for nature. This trek reminded me that real learning often lies in the heart of real experiences.
