Trek to Bhavar Kada Waterfall, Dang (Activity)

On 25th of July 2025, we went on a one day trek to Bhavar Kada Waterfall in Dang. During this day, we experienced a 4 hour trek through muddy waters and steep declines, testing our endurance and stability. Throughout the experience of this trek, I could find myself working on two particular learning outcomes, the two learning outcomes are as mentioned below.

LO 2 : Demonstrate the challenges that have been undertaken, and develop new skills in the process

The trek was an experience out of my comfort zone, the heavy rain and rocky roads added more trouble to an already challenging experience. However, throughout the difficult trek, I was able to preserve through and develop new skills the process. Firstly, as I encountered various slippery declines, I learned that walking cross-legged would help you balance better. Furthermore, while coming back up, I faced difficulty on steep rocky paths, although soon I was able to figure out that by bending down the process would become easier. In conclusion, while the experience was highly challenging, I was able to develop problem solving skills that aided me in completing the 4 hour trek.

LO 4 : Show perseverance and commitment in CAS experience

Throughout the trek, there were various moments where I regretted my decision of coming to the trek, followed my intense wishes to go home to my comfortable bed. The continuous rain fall, variety of insects and my once white socks turned brown because of the mud, all of these reasons tested the patience that I had. None the less, I kept my hopes high, motivating myself to complete the trek with full focus and strength. I showed full commitment into completing the trek and enjoying the view of the Bhavar Kada Waterfall.

The commitment that I has showed helped my build the learner profile of Risk-taker as I confidently went through the mud filled rocky paths. Furthermore, I also developed the learner profile of caring as I motivated others and assisted them in moving ahead.

In conclusion, the overall experience, through filled with challenges, helped me develop new skills and tested the perseverance that I have.
