Children’s Day Literacy Carnival – (Creativity)

For this CAS experience, I collaborated with my friends to help conduct interactive games for students of government school. We conducted creative activities that promoted teamwork and engagement, and used a token-based system where students earned tokens through games and used them as currency to buy items like stationery. This made the experience both fun and rewarding.

LO1 – Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth:
Through this experience, I recognized my strengths in teamwork, communication, and creativity while designing games. However, I also identified areas for growth such as better planning and adapting quickly when certain games did not go as expected.

LO4 – Show perseverance and commitment in CAS experience:
Planning and executing the game required consistent effort. Despite challenges like managing time, resources, and keeping all students engaged, I remained committed and worked with my team to ensure the success of the activity.

LO6 – Engagement with issues of global significance:
This activity connects to the issue of unequal access to engaging and interactive learning opportunities. By organizing these games, we attempted to create a more inclusive and stimulating environment for students who may not always have such experiences.

LO7 – Recognise and consider the ethics of choices and actions:
We ensured fairness and inclusivity throughout the activity by giving equal opportunities to all students, distributing tokens fairly, and making sure no one felt excluded.

Overall, this experience combined creativity and service, allowing me to grow personally while contributing positively to the community.
