Introduction
As part of my CAS journey, I participated in FSMUN 12.0, where I served as the Organising Committee Head for Finance. The purpose of this experience was not only to contribute to a large student-led event but also to grow personally through leadership and responsibility. My role involved managing budgets, coordinating with sponsors, and ensuring smooth financial planning, which required strong organization, communication, and decision-making skills. The experience was demanding, especially while balancing schoolwork alongside tight deadlines and last-minute challenges, but it pushed me to stay focused and adaptable. Working closely with the organising team taught me the importance of collaboration and accountability. Despite the pressure, seeing the conference come together successfully was extremely rewarding, and the experience helped me build confidence, resilience, and practical leadership skills.
LO2 – Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills
During FSMUN 12.0, I faced several challenges, especially managing finances while coordinating with multiple team members and sponsors under strict deadlines. At times, unexpected changes required quick decision-making and problem-solving, which pushed me out of my comfort zone. Learning to stay organized under pressure and handle responsibility helped me grow both personally and professionally, making me more confident in managing real-world tasks.
