G11 Rural Immersion trip to Vansda (2025-26)

We went to Rural Immersion trip to Vansda on 8th of Dec 2025 till 13th of Dec 2025. Trip helped us get into a lot of activities, we experience a lot of things like turmeric processing unit, trekking, bamboo craft, heritage train, local market, etc..

LO 2 – Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process

We went through a lot of challenges throughout the trip. One of main challenge was to get out of our comfort zone and live a different lifestyle. There were many more challenges faced such as adapting a differnt enviornment, and lifestyle, farming, doing cow dung lipan, etc.. Through these challenges, I developed skills such as adaptiveness, communication, problem solving and teamwork. I also became more open-minded for living in different ways and doing the activities. These skills can help us in differnet situation or unfamiliar enviornments. Overcoming these challenges made me realizes to be open-minded to handle any situation which comes in real life.

LO 4 – Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences

The trip required our commitment throughout the activities such as trekking, framing, and other tasks . In all the activities I tried to give my best efforts. Even when the activities where tiring or uncomfortable. The experience made me learn that commitment was not only about saying but appling it in real life, and staying consistent in the challenges. It helped me develope skills like problem solving, risk takers and discipline. These skills were not only important for CAS trip but even for real life.

LO 6 – Demonstrate engagement with issues of global significance

Throughout the rural immersion trip we focused on the global issues related sustainable lifestyle. Activities we did related to sustainability are farming, visiting processing units, cow dung lipan, etc.. And through visiting and interacting with the villagers we understood their challenges for effectively, like they face issues with limited resources and fully dependend on natural resources. These activities made me more aware no using sustainable resources as much as possible.

LO 7 – Recognize and consider the ethics of choices and actions

Through this trip we could understand the ethical differences between urban and rural lifestyle. Mainly the differences seen were on the bases of resource usage, sustainability, and dependence on nature. The activitis like farming and cow dung shows that rural people live in more fresh and natural enviornment comparatively to urban people. This experience of rural immersion helped me understand the important to natural enviornment’s impact on our lifestyle, and the empathy and ethical awareness shared in the rural community.
