Interschool Frisbee Competition 2025-2026 (Activity)

On 31st January 2026, I represented my school in an interschool frisbee competition as a member of the school team. The experience involved weeks of regular practice sessions, strategic discussions, and intense matches against other schools. The competition demanded strong physical stamina, quick reflexes, and clear communication, while also testing our ability to work together as a coordinated unit. The pressure of competition and the fast pace of the game challenged both my physical fitness and mental focus.

Learning Outcomes Achieved

LO1: Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth

Through this experience, I recognised key strengths such as my agility, quick decision-making, and ability to work within a team structure. I also realised areas where I needed improvement, particularly in throwing accuracy under pressure and maintaining endurance throughout long matches. This reflection has helped me set clear goals for improving my overall athletic performance.

LO2: Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken and skills developed

Frisbee matches were fast-paced and physically demanding. I learned to improve my throwing precision, catching ability, defensive positioning, and spatial awareness. I also developed better game strategy understanding, learning when to pass, when to run, and how to create opportunities for my team. These new skills improved my confidence and performance on the field.

LO3: Initiate and plan a CAS experience

Preparing for the competition required structured planning. I followed a practice schedule, fitness routine, and skill drills to build stamina and improve technique. I also ensured I had the necessary equipment and coordinated with teammates regarding match strategies and timings. This experience strengthened my planning and organizational skills.

LO4: Show commitment and perseverance in CAS experiences

Balancing academics with regular sports practice was challenging. There were days when I felt physically tired or mentally stressed, especially before important matches. However, I continued training consistently and gave my full effort during every practice and game. This experience taught me the value of discipline, resilience, and perseverance.

LO5: Demonstrate skills and benefits of working collaboratively

Frisbee is entirely dependent on teamwork. During the competition, we relied on constant communication, trust, and coordination. I learned how to support teammates, give clear instructions during gameplay, and adapt to different strategies. Our collaboration helped us perform better as a unit and strengthened our team spirit.

Conclusion

The interschool frisbee competition was more than just a sporting event—it was an important milestone in my CAS journey. I developed new skills, improved my physical fitness, strengthened my teamwork abilities, and built greater confidence. The experience pushed me beyond my comfort zone and helped me grow both personally and socially. It remains one of the most rewarding and memorable CAS activities I have completed.
