LO1: Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth
As the co-founder and Vice President of Life2See, I recognised my strengths in leadership, communication, and organisation through coordinating environmental and social initiatives. Managing different responsibilities and working with multiple people also showed me that I need to continue improving my delegation and time-management skills. This experience has helped me become more confident in taking responsibility, making decisions, and recognising areas where I can grow as a leader.
LO2: Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process
Organising plantation drives, fundraising initiatives, and community outreach activities required me to take on responsibilities beyond my usual schoolwork. Coordinating volunteers, managing logistics, and ensuring that initiatives ran smoothly presented challenges that required flexibility and problem-solving. Through these experiences, I developed practical leadership, communication, and organisational skills while learning to handle unexpected difficulties and work towards shared goals.
LO3: Demonstrate how to initiate and plan a CAS experience
As a co-founder and Vice President, I have been involved in planning and organising Life2See’s environmental and social initiatives. This has included coordinating 2–3 plantation drives, involving community members, collaborating with Mahavir Hospital for eye check-ups, and supporting fundraising efforts. These experiences taught me the importance of setting objectives, distributing responsibilities, coordinating with external organisations, and ensuring that activities are organised effectively. I learned that successful initiatives require careful preparation and collaboration to create a meaningful impact.
LO4: Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences
My continued involvement in Life2See reflects my commitment to environmental sustainability and community welfare. Participating in and organising 2–3 plantation drives has allowed me to contribute repeatedly to our environmental goals rather than treating tree planting as a one-time activity. Alongside these efforts, I have remained involved in fundraising and community outreach initiatives. Managing these responsibilities requires consistent effort, planning, and perseverance. Through this experience, I have learned that creating meaningful change requires sustained commitment and that even small initiatives can contribute to a larger, long-term mission.
LO5: Demonstrate the skills and recognise the benefits of working collaboratively
Life2See depends on collaboration between students, families, volunteers, and external organisations. Working with these different groups has taught me the importance of clear communication, shared responsibilities, and respecting different perspectives. Our plantation drives and healthcare outreach demonstrated how collective effort can achieve more than individual contributions alone. I have also learned to recognise the strengths of different team members and use them to make our initiatives more effective. This experience has strengthened my ability to work in a team and coordinate people towards a common goal.
LO6: Demonstrate engagement with issues of global significance
Through Life2See, I have engaged with global issues such as climate change, air pollution, biodiversity loss, and unequal access to healthcare. Our plantation drives and Miyawaki forest initiatives aim to increase urban green cover and encourage environmental awareness, while our eye-check-up initiative helped approximately 100 students access eye examinations. We have also raised approximately ₹1 lakh through fundraising efforts to support our initiatives. These experiences helped me understand how global challenges affect local communities and how youth-led initiatives can contribute to addressing them. They reinforced the importance of combining environmental sustainability with social responsibility.

LO7: Recognise and consider the ethics of choices and actions
Working on Life2See has made me more aware of the ethical responsibilities involved in community service and environmental conservation. I have learned that initiatives should address genuine community needs rather than focus solely on visibility or recognition. Our work requires considering environmental sustainability, using resources responsibly, and treating community members with dignity and respect. I have also recognised the importance of being accountable for the commitments we make and the impact we aim to create. This experience has taught me that responsible leadership involves making thoughtful decisions and ensuring that our actions align with our mission.
Conclusion
Life2See has been an important part of my personal growth, allowing me to combine leadership with environmental conservation and community service. Through multiple plantation drives, fundraising, and healthcare outreach, I have developed practical skills while contributing to causes beyond my immediate community. The experience has taught me the value of collaboration, perseverance, and responsible leadership. Most importantly, it has reinforced my belief that young people can create meaningful change when they turn their ideas into consistent action. As co-founder and Vice President, I hope to continue expanding Life2See’s initiatives and encouraging more people to contribute towards a greener, healthier, and more compassionate world.
