Online Course on Artificial Intelligence
As part of my CAS Creativity experience, I completed an online course on Artificial Intelligence offered by AWS (Amazon Web Services). I’ve always been interested in technology and curious about how AI actually works behind the scenes, so I decided to take this course to learn something new and challenge myself.
At the start, it felt a bit overwhelming. There were so many new terms and ideas like machine learning, neural networks, and cloud computing that I had never heard of before. But as I went through the modules, things slowly started to make sense. I found it fascinating how AI can analyze data, make predictions, and even learn from its own mistakes. The best part was seeing real-life examples of how companies use AI in healthcare, climate change research, and customer service to make things more efficient and innovative.
What I liked most about this experience was that it didn’t just teach me facts; it made me think differently. I learned how important creativity is in technology it’s not only about coding but also about finding smart ways to solve problems. I also became more aware of the ethical side of AI, like data privacy, bias, and how powerful technology needs to be used responsibly.
Overall, doing this AWS course helped me grow in so many ways. I learned to stay consistent, manage my time, and be patient when I didn’t understand something right away. It also made me feel more confident about exploring advanced topics in the future.
LO1: Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth
Through this course, I discovered that I’m good at connecting creative thinking with logical reasoning, especially when learning new concepts. I also realized I need to improve my patience when dealing with technical topics and coding challenges
LO2: Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills
Learning Artificial Intelligence through AWS was completely new to me, and it definitely pushed me out of my comfort zone. I developed new skills in problem-solving, data interpretation, and understanding how AI systems work. I also became better at learning independently.
LO4: Show perseverance and commitment in CAS experience
The course required consistent effort and focus. There were moments when the content got difficult, but I stayed motivated and kept working through each lesson until I completed it. Finishing the course gave me a sense of achievement and confidence
LO6: Engagement with issues of global significance
This experience showed me how AI is being used to tackle global issues like sustainable development, healthcare improvement, and environmental protection. It helped me see the connection between technology and real-world change.
LO7: Recognize and consider the ethics of choices and actions
I learned that technology can be powerful but also risky if not used carefully. The course made me think deeply about the ethical side of AI how data is used, how algorithms can be biased, and why fairness and responsibility matter in innovation.
Overall, completing the AWS Artificial Intelligence course was one of the most valuable parts of my CAS Creativity journey. It helped me explore my interests, build new skills, and understand how technology can be used creatively to make a positive difference in the world.
