For my CAS experience, I took part in rock climbing sessions in school over a period of time, and it turned out to be a really fun and exciting experience for me. It gave me the chance to try something completely new and also challenge myself physically. During the sessions, I learned how to climb the wall properly using safety equipment and correct techniques, while carefully following the instructions given. The colourful rocks on the wall made the activity more interesting and also helped me decide where to place my hands and feet while climbing. At the beginning, I found it quite difficult and was a little unsure about my movements, but with regular practice, I slowly started improving my skills and becoming more confident. As I kept trying, I felt more comfortable climbing higher and managing my balance better. This experience was not only enjoyable but also useful, as I feel it will help me in the future if I go for mountain trekking with my friends or family.
Overall, it was a very valuable experience that helped me build both my physical strength and my confidence. Through this experience, I developed the learner profile attribute of being a Thinker , as I learned to make careful decisions while climbing and understood the importance of using safety equipment properly to stay safe.

LO2 – Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills :
During the rock climbing sessions, I faced quite a few challenges, especially in the beginning. Climbing the wall was not as easy as it looked, as it required a lot of strength, balance, and concentration. At first, I was confused about where to place my hands and feet, and I often lost my balance while trying to climb higher. This made me feel a bit unsure, but I didn’t give up and kept trying with practice and guidance from the instructor. Slowly, I started understanding how to use the colourful rocks properly and plan my moves before climbing. Another challenge was learning how to use the safety equipment correctly, like the harness and ropes, which needed full attention and responsibility. In the beginning, I was not very confident with it, but with time, I got used to it and understood its importance. As I continued practicing, I became more comfortable and confident while climbing, and I was able to complete the wall more smoothly. This experience helped me improve my physical strength and coordination, and also taught me how to think carefully before making each move. Overall, I learned the importance of patience, safety, and persistence, which will definitely help me in future activities like trekking .
