For the CAS experience on 25th July we went to a 4 hour trek. Visiting a waterfall during muddy waters was a tough and an adventurous trek. The slippery trails, heavy mist, and loud roar of the falls drained my energy, leaving me tired yet strangely refreshed. Though the trek was tough, the sight of the powerful cascade made the struggle worthwhile, turning fatigue into a memory of adventure and awe.The trip involved trekking through lush trails to reach Bhavar Kada Waterfalls, experiencing the waterfall during the season of muddy waters. I navigated through slippery paths, observed the natural ecosystem, and reflected on the power and beauty of nature. The experience combined adventure, physical challenge, teamwork, and environmental awareness.
LO1 – Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth
I showed enthusiasm and curiosity throughout the trip, enjoying the natural beauty and learning about the environment and also was able to communicate well with my peers contributing to teamwork and group coordination during the hike. The most important thing that I want to improve is my physical stamina to handle longer treks with more ease.
LO2 – Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills.
During the trip to Bhavar Kada Waterfalls, I faced several challenges, such as navigating steep and uneven paths, managing long hours of walking, and coordinating with the group in unfamiliar terrain. One thing that improved was I enhanced my ability to work with peers, sharing responsibilities and helping each other during difficult parts of the trek.
LO4 – Show perseverance and commitment in CAS experience
During the Bhavar Kada Waterfalls trip, I demonstrated perseverance and commitment by completing the challenging hike despite steep paths and long hours of walking. I stayed focused on the goal of reaching the waterfalls and supported my peers throughout the journey, even when the terrain was tiring or difficult. This experience allowed me to strengthen my determination, maintain motivation, and show commitment to both the activity and my team.
LO5 – Demonstrate skills and benefits of working collaboratively
During the trip to Bhavar Kada Waterfalls, I actively worked with my peers to navigate the trails, share responsibilities, and ensure everyone stayed safe. Collaborating with the group helped me develop teamwork and communication skills, such as listening to others’ ideas, coordinating our pace, and supporting those who found certain parts challenging. Through this experience, I learned the benefits of working collaboratively, including achieving common goals more effectively and building stronger connections with my peers.
CONCLUSION
The trip to Bhavar Kada Waterfalls was a rewarding experience that allowed me to step out of my comfort zone, face physical and teamwork challenges, and develop important personal skills. I learned the value of perseverance, effective collaboration, and environmental awareness while enjoying the beauty of nature. Overall, this experience not only strengthened my physical and social abilities but also provided meaningful memories and reflections that will guide me in future CAS activities.
