One day CAS trip to Bhavar Kada Waterfalls

On this adventurous day, I set out with a group of friends to immerse myself in the raw beauty of nature through a monsoon trek. The trail led us deep into a lush green forest, alive with the sounds of chirping birds, rustling leaves, and the soft patter of rain. The entire path was soaked from recent showers, making the terrain muddy, slippery, and thrilling.

Despite the challenges, our spirits were high. Clad in ponchos, and raincoats, we navigated the tricky slopes, rocks, and small streams that crossed our route. The fog and mist added a magical touch, making it feel like we were walking through a rainforest. Nature was in its full glory, vibrant greenery, flowing water, and fresh, earthy scents all around.

The best part wasn’t just reaching the end, it was the journey itself. We helped each other over rough patches, shared laughs through the rain, and felt truly alive in the moment. This trek wasn’t just about reaching a destination; it was about reconnecting with nature and pushing ourselves through the elements.

LO1 – Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth

I likely discovered your stamina, resilience, or even fear of slippery terrain, recognizing my physical and mental strengths and weaknesses during the trek. This helps identify areas to improve, such as balance, endurance, or leadership in outdoor settings.

LO2 – Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills

Trekking through muddy and rainy conditions was a significant challenge. I learned to navigate slippery terrain, stay focused despite discomfort, and develop new skills like basic trekking techniques, risk assessment, and calm decision-making.

LO4 – Show perseverance and commitment in CAS experience

Even when the path became difficult, I didn’t give up. I showed commitment by pushing through wet and muddy trails, maintaining motivation, and supporting my group until we reached our destination.

LO5 – Demonstrate skills and benefits of working collaboratively

Throughout the trek, I worked with others to ensure safety and encouragement. We helped each other through tough spots, shared supplies, and stayed as a group, which made the experience both safer and more enjoyable. It improved my collaboration and communication skills.
