Rangini (Youth Folk Art Festival) – Service

About the Activity

I conceptualized and organized Rangini, a youth folk art festival designed to introduce young people to traditional Indian art forms. The event educated over 1500 students about folk arts such as Warli, Madhubani, Gond, Lippan, Molela, Rangoli, Mehendi, Pottery, and Pithora.

LO3 – Initiate and plan a CAS experience

Conceptualizing Rangini required planning the festival’s theme, coordinating artists, and managing logistics. From designing workshops to organizing schedules, I played a major role in bringing the event to life.

LO5 – Collaboration

The festival involved working with a large team and multiple artists. Effective collaboration ensured that all workshops and activities ran smoothly.

LO6 – Global significance

Preserving traditional art forms contributes to cultural sustainability and heritage preservation. Rangini helped raise awareness about the importance of protecting cultural traditions.

LO4 – Commitment and perseverance

Organizing a festival for over 1500 participants required dedication and sustained effort. Despite logistical challenges, I remained committed to ensuring the success of the event.
