FSMUN Decor Committee – Creativity

About the Activity

For FSMUN 12.0, I served as the head of the decor committee. Our team was responsible for designing and creating decorations for the entire conference venue. We also consciously reused old materials from previous events to reduce waste while creating visually appealing decor.

LO3 – Initiate and plan a CAS experience

As the head of the decor committee, I was responsible for planning the overall theme and execution of the decorations. I coordinated with team members, assigned tasks, and ensured that materials were available on time. This experience helped me develop leadership and organizational skills.

LO5 – Collaborative skills

Working with my team required effective communication and collaboration. Each member contributed creative ideas, and we worked together to turn those ideas into finished décor pieces. The experience showed me how collective creativity can lead to better outcomes.

LO6 – Engagement with global issues

By reusing materials from previous events, we consciously reduced waste and practiced sustainability. This aligns with the global goal of Responsible Consumption and Production, as we minimized unnecessary resource use.

LO4 – Perseverance and commitment

Preparing decorations for a large event required consistent effort and time management. Despite tight deadlines, I remained committed to ensuring that every part of the venue was decorated effectively and on time.
