Grade 12 Farewell – CAS Project

About the Activity
I was part of the core team responsible for organizing the Grade 12 farewell. Our team conceptualized the entire event, including the theme, décor, logistics, performances, and food arrangements. I specifically served as the Head of the Décor Committee, where I led the team responsible for designing and executing the visual elements of the event. We coordinated with over 40 committee members across different teams to ensure that all aspects of the farewell came together smoothly and created a memorable experience for the graduating class.

LO3 – Initiate and Plan a CAS Experience
As the Head of the Décor Committee, I was responsible for planning and leading the design and setup of the event decorations. This included brainstorming décor ideas that matched the farewell theme, organizing materials, and delegating tasks to members of the décor team. I also coordinated with other committees to ensure that the décor complemented performances, stage arrangements, and the overall layout of the venue.

LO5 – Demonstrate Collaborative Skills
The event involved working closely with more than 40 students, which required strong collaboration. Each committee had specific roles, and effective communication between teams helped ensure that all aspects of the farewell came together smoothly.

LO4 – Show Perseverance and Commitment in CAS Experiences
Organizing the farewell required continuous effort and time management, especially as the event date approached. Despite challenges such as coordinating many people and meeting deadlines, I remained committed to completing the tasks and contributing to the success of the event.
