I participated in a school-wide entrepreneurship event named 1 Million Founders, conducted from July 28 to August 1 2025, as part of my Creativity CAS program. I gained knowledge regarding the basics of launching a company starting from spotting real-life problems to creating their solutions through product design and marketing. In collaboration with my teammates, I contributed to the creation of a business plan that involved both a prototype of an application and a logo. It provided me with an opportunity to apply what I have learned in class in practice, thus developing my entrepreneurial skills, creativity and teamwork.
LO1 – I understood that my strength was the ability to come up with new ideas in the process of devising solutions for businesses. However, I noticed that I can improve some aspects of my participation in team projects, such as leading a discussion and communicating with people. I recognized that I need to change the way I respond to suggestions from my colleagues and improve my skills.
LO2 – Creating a business idea from the ground up has been challenging, especially with the task of making ideas a reality and aligning the opinions of group members. Due to this process, I acquired new competencies in business planning, branding, prototyping and problem-solving, which increased my level of confidence in overcoming new challenges.
LO4 – This experience necessitated continuous energy through the stages of idea-generation, planning and critical revision of our business idea; some improvements had to undergo many changes due to tight deadlines. But instead of abandoning the project, I stayed determined by taking part in discussions and bringing alternative ideas up in talks, which has shown me that persistence is a critical element in entrepreneurship.
LO5 – Collaboration was at the cornerstone of this event. Working with a group of people of diverse backgrounds taught me to value mutual respect, effective communication and mutual responsibility.
LO6 –This experience proved how important entrepreneurship is to social and economic development. The focus on sustainability, innovation and ethics makes it possible to connect the event with Sustainable Development Goals established by the UN.
