The clean-up drive experience was a very environmentally targeted activity. The 2 drives took place in Navdi Ovara where a total of 6 bags of plastic was collected. This experience allowed me serve the community and the environment by helping clean. It also made me more caring with regards to the environment as well as become more aware of how big a problem plastic pollution is and how important it is to manage waste. While the action was small, it was a step taken towards change and making the city more cleaner. I catered to several CAS LOs during this experience. They are explained in detail below.

LO 5: Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively
Skills like communication, organization and cooperation allowed to effectively perform the activity. The large amount of plastic was effectively collected by creating groups and collected the waste. This allowed to cover a larger area while also picking up more plastic. Working collaboratively through cooperation, communication and organization allowed to achieve the task more efficiently and create more impact.

LO 6: Demonstrate engagement with issues of global significance
The activity included addressing the global crisis of plastic pollution. Plastic pollution is a global threat affecting not only humans but also the environment and animals. The clean-up drive in the area led to cleaning up plastic from the city. It addressed the global issue locally. This experience helped spread awareness with regards to the same while broadening global sustainability actions.
LO 7: Recognize and consider the ethics of choices and actions
The clean-up drives allowed to consider the ethics and take accountability of human actions with regards to the disposal of plastic and how the consequence is plastic pollution. This experience allowed to reflect on consumer choices and reflect on personal choices to include reducing the use of single-use plastic and its disposal. Recognising the ethics of the same allowed to minimise harm to the environment and want to take action.
Overall, the CAS experience was very impactful and allowed me to give back to the community and make the a part of the city more cleaner. I was happy to be a part of this activity and take a small action towards plastic pollution.
