Coordinating logistics for a large event came with several challenges, including maintaining accurate attendance, managing score sheets within strict timelines, and resolving last-minute issues. Through this experience, I developed stronger organizational skills and the ability to make quick, effective decisions. Although it was challenging to keep track of multiple activities happening at the same time, it helped me stay composed under pressure and prioritize tasks efficiently.

LO 4 – Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences
I demonstrated commitment and perseverance by stepping up to help despite last-minute schedule changes and successfully coordinating multiple performances. I stayed dedicated to ensuring everything ran smoothly by managing logistics and supporting participants throughout the process. This experience strengthened my resilience and highlighted the importance of perseverance in collaborative projects. I consistently put in my best effort to handle all responsibilities, which made this CAS experience both meaningful and rewarding.

LO 5 – Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively

In this experience, I collaborated closely with organizers, participants, and fellow volunteers to manage event logistics effectively. Coordinating schedules and ensuring smooth transitions between performances required strong communication, adaptability, and organizational skills. This experience highlighted the value of teamwork and demonstrated how dividing responsibilities makes tasks more efficient and manageable. It also strengthened my ability to delegate tasks effectively and solve problems under pressure, skills that will be highly valuable in my future academic endeavors.

LO7 – Recognise and consider the ethics of choices and actions

While managing scores and attendance, I had the responsibility of ensuring fairness and integrity throughout the competition, while also coordinating closely with the judges. Maintaining accurate records and ensuring that each participant was evaluated impartially made me more aware of how even small ethical decisions can influence a larger system. Upholding transparency and honesty in event management was essential, as minor errors could have significantly impacted the outcomes for participants.
