Rock Climbing

I participated in a rock climbing activity where I competed with my friends to reach the top as quickly as possible. During this experience, I successfully climbed to the top four times in under 15 seconds. The goal of this activity was to challenge myself physically, improve my speed, and develop confidence. Rock climbing required strength, focus, and determination. It also pushed me out of my comfort zone and tested my ability to perform under pressure. Through this experience, I aimed to improve my physical fitness and learn how to handle challenges effectively.

LO1: Strengths and areas for growth

This experience helped me identify that one of my strengths is my speed and determination. I was able to climb quickly and stay focused during the activity.

However, I realized that my endurance and technique need improvement. Sometimes I relied more on speed than proper technique. Now that I am aware of this, I feel motivated to improve my skills. Knowing both strengths and weaknesses is important because it helps in overall development.

LO2: Challenges and new skills

The main challenge was climbing quickly while maintaining control. It was difficult because I had to balance speed with accuracy, and one small mistake could slow me down.

I overcame this by learning from each attempt and improving my grip and movement. I developed better coordination and climbing techniques.

This challenge made me feel more confident and proud. It showed me that taking on challenges helps in developing new skills and improving performance.

LO4: Commitment and perseverance

Even after completing one fast climb, I continued to challenge myself to improve my timing. Climbing multiple times required both physical energy and mental focus.

There were moments when I felt tired, but I stayed committed and kept trying. This experience taught me that perseverance is important for improvement. Without repeated effort, I would not have achieved better results.

Final Take Away

This experience helped me develop learner profile attributes such as risk-taker, balanced, and reflective. It also connects to physical education, where we learn about fitness, strength, and endurance.

The highlight of this experience was successfully reaching the top four times in under 15 seconds. It gave me a strong sense of achievement and confidence.

This experience changed my perspective by showing me that improvement comes from repeated effort and learning from mistakes. If I do this again, I will focus more on technique along with speed.

In the future, I will apply this learning in other physical activities and challenges. This experience has encouraged me to stay active and continue pushing my limits.
