Bhavar Kada Waterfall Trek – Activity

Facing Challenges (LO2)
When I went on the trek to Bhavar Kada, I honestly didn’t know what to expect. The terrain was way tougher than I imagined—steep climbs, slippery rocks, and hours of walking under the sun. At first, I was struggling a lot; I felt out of breath and my bag felt heavier with every step. But slowly, I started figuring things out—breathing in a rhythm, taking smaller steps, and adjusting my backpack properly. I realised that I was learning new skills like social skills while I was guiding my peers so that they could complete the trek, and also avoid injuries.

Perseverance and Commitment (LO4)
There were definitely moments when I felt like giving up. My legs were burning, the climb looked endless, and I questioned if I could even make it. But I kept reminding myself that I had committed to finishing the trek, and that if I stopped, it would affect not just me but also the group. Step by step, I kept moving. Reaching the top made me feel proud because I knew I hadn’t given up when it got tough—that’s what perseverance really meant for me.

Working Collaboratively (LO5)
Another big part of this trek was the teamwork. None of us could have done it alone. We motivated each other, shared water and snacks, and sometimes even helped carry bags when someone was really tired. I learned how important it is to walk at the group’s pace, not just my own. That feeling of supporting one another made the trek so much more enjoyable and reminded me how much easier challenges become when you don’t face them alone.

Learner Profile – Risk Taker
Looking back, I think this trek really made me a Risk-Taker. I wasn’t sure I could handle such a demanding climb, but I took the chance anyway. Stepping out of my comfort zone taught me that risks are often worth it, because they help you grow and discover strength you didn’t know you had.

Connection to SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being
I also see how this connects to SDG 3. The trek wasn’t just about reaching the top; it was about taking care of my body, staying hydrated, eating right, and building mental toughness. It reminded me how important physical activity and resilience are for overall health and well-being.

Conclusion: This trek taught me resilience, teamwork, and the value of stepping out of my comfort zone. It showed me that challenges can lead to growth, strength, and a deeper sense of well-being.
