Grade 12 Farewell (Project)

I served as the Head of the Logistics Team for the Grade 12 Farewell. This experience was part of a CAS Project, as it required sustained planning, collaboration and responsibility over an extended period of time. My role involved managing all logistical aspects of the farewell, including venue setup, seating arrangements, scheduling, resource allocation, and coordination with different teams such as decorations, performances and technical support with bhaiyas. I was responsible for ensuring that all operations ran smoothly and that the event was executed according to plan. Throughout the process, I led a team, delegated tasks, and coordinated with multiple stakeholders, including teachers and student committees. I also handled unexpected challenges, such as last-minute changes and time constraints, requiring quick decision making and adaptability.

This experience helped me develop strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. It also allowed me to understand the importance of teamwork, effective communication, and planning in successfully executing a large event.

LO1 – Through my role as Logistics Head, I identified strengths such as organization, leadership and decision-making. I also recognized areas for growth, including handling stress under pressure and improving efficiency in time management.

LO2 – I faced challenges such as coordinating multiple teams, managing last minute changes, and ensuring smooth execution of the event. Through this, I developed skills in event management, problem solving, and effective communication.

LO3 – Since this was my project, as Logistics Head, I initated and planned a CAS Experience. I played a key role in planning and organising the farewell by structuring logistics, delegating responsibilities, and ensuring all operational aspects were prepared in advance.

LO4 – I demonstrated commitment by consistently contributing throughout the planning and execution stages, dedicating time and effort despite challenges such as tight deadlines and unexpected issues.

LO5 – I worked closely with different teams, including decorations, technical and event coordination, ensuring effective teamwork and communication to successfully execute the event.

LO7 – I ensured fairness and responsibility in decision making, delegating tasks appropriately and maintaining accountability to ensure that all aspects of the event were managed respectfully and efficiently.
