One day CAS trip to Bhavar Kada Waterfalls

On 25th July 2025, I went on a one-day trek to Bhavar Kada Waterfalls in the Dang region. The weather was foggy, the chirping of the birds and the little drizzles of rain made it all worth it.   The trail was tough, nearly four hours of climbing through steep slopes, muddy patches, and uneven paths that really pushed me to my limits, both physically and mentally.

Learning Outcome 1: Recognizing Strengths and Areas to Improve

This trek helped me understand myself better. I realized I’m able to stay calm and focused even when the ground is slippery or risky. I also found myself motivating my friends, encouraging them to stay steady and confident through the tricky parts. At the same time, I noticed where I need to improve. I slipped too often on the uphill stretches, which showed me that I need to work on building stronger legs and better balance through consistent training.

Learning Outcome 2: Facing Challenges and Learning New Skills

This wasn’t just a casual walk in nature, it was a challenge that required patience and teamwork. Walking on wet, uneven ground taught me basic trekking techniques like spotting safe places to step, using rocks or branches for support, and staying steady on difficult terrain. Along with these physical skills, I also improved soft skills like awareness and problem-solving. Even though I slipped a few times and felt tired, I didn’t give up. Finally reaching the waterfall felt rewarding and showed me how much we can grow when we face challenges with the right mindset.

Learning Outcome 4: Showing Commitment and Perseverance

Throughout the trek, I stayed engaged and gave my best. Even when I was exhausted, I didn’t lose focus. For me, perseverance wasn’t only about reaching the waterfall, but also about reflecting on the journey and recognizing how it shaped me. It reminded me that staying committed until the end always brings growth.

LO5 – Demonstrating Collaboration and Its Benefits

During the trek, I actively worked with my peers to maintain safety and motivation. We supported one another through challenging sections, shared resources, and stayed together as a team, which not only made the journey safer but also more enjoyable. This experience strengthened my ability to collaborate effectively and improved my communication skills.

Final Reflection

The Bhavar Kada trek turned out to be more than just an outdoor adventure, it was a test of strength and determination. I discovered my abilities, accepted my weak points, and learned to support others along the way. Most importantly, it reinforced the idea that resilience and commitment are what help us overcome challenges and truly grow.
