My trip to Bhavar Kada Waterfalls, was indeed On the 25th of July, I embarked on a trek to the Bhavar Kada Waterfalls in Dang. What initially seemed like a fun outdoor activity turned into one of the most memorable learning experiences of my CAS journey. The trek was far from easy. The trail was steep and slippery due to the rains, and at one point, I even slipped, which made me more cautious for the rest of the climb. The uneven terrain constantly tested my patience, balance, and physical endurance.
LO2 – Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills.
As I undertook this challenging activity, I came out of my comfort zone. This helped me develop new skills like maintaining balance, moving steadily, and staying mentally resilient no matter how difficult things seem. Additionally, also learned to assess the risks and overcome them. For example, identifying safer footholds and supporting myself with surrounding rocks or branches. The trek taught me how to regulate my pace to avoid fatigue and stay consistent over long stretches. Beyond the physical aspects, I developed patience and adaptability, accepting that the conditions (like heavy rain and mud) were beyond my control, yet finding ways to adjust and continue. The experience tested me both physically and mentally, contributing to growth in multiple aspects.
LO4 – Show perseverance and commitment in CAS experience.
Although, the track was extremely challenging I remained determined to complete the trek. There were moments when the climb felt exhausting, and the rain made it more tempting to stop or turn back. However I reminded myself of my commitment to finishing the activity and pushed forward with steady effort. Each step required concentration but I kept going, even when my legs felt tired and the trail seemed endless. My perseverance ensured that I not only reached the waterfall but also enjoyed the sense of accomplishment that came with it. This experience taught me the importance of staying committed to a goal, even when obstacles arise, and showed me how persistence can transform a difficult challenge into a rewarding achievement.
LO5 – Demonstrate skills and benefits of working collaboratively.
During the trek, working with others played a important role in making the experience safer and more enjoyable. At difficult points on the trail, we supported each other whether it was offering a hand to someone slipping, pointing out firmer ground, or simply encouraging one another when the climb became tiring. This collaborative effort just ensured that my peers are safe and also enjoy. There were instances where I needed help, and their help was the only reason could complete the trek. The benefit of working together was that tasks became more manageable and the sense of achievement was shared, which made reaching the waterfall even more meaningful.
CONCLUSION:
All in all, the trek to Bhavar Kada Waterfalls was more than just an adventurous outing it became a meaningful learning experience that tested my patience, resilience, and ability to adapt. By stepping out of my comfort zone, persevering through challenges, and collaborating with others, I gained valuable skills that extend far beyond trekking. This experience reminded me that growth often comes from discomfort, and that with persistence and teamwork, even the most difficult paths can lead to rewarding destinations.
