On 25th July 2025, I went on a one-day trek to Bhavar Kada Waterfalls as part of my CAS activity. We started early in the morning and returned late at night, completely drained but with a deep sense of satisfaction. The trek itself lasted around four hours and took us through a slippery, muddy path that was often difficult to manage. At times it felt challenging, but the effort made the destination even more meaningful. Standing in front of the waterfall and being surrounded by nature was an unforgettable moment, reminding me how rewarding it can be to push through discomfort and stay determined.
Learning outcome 1: Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth

During the trek, I became more aware of both my strengths and the areas I need to develop. The four-hour journey on a slippery and uneven trail tested my endurance and focus. I discovered that I was able to stay patient and composed despite the challenges, which showed me that determination is one of my strengths. At the same time, I also recognized that my physical stamina needs improvement, as I felt fatigued toward the end. This experience made me realize that while I can remain resilient in difficult situations, I should also work on building my endurance so that I can handle such challenges with greater ease in the future.
Learning Outcome 2: Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills.

The trek presented several challenges that required me to step outside my comfort zone and adapt as the journey progressed. The muddy and uneven trail demanded constant focus and careful movement, which initially felt overwhelming. However, as I continued, I gradually developed a stronger sense of balance and learned how to pace myself more effectively. I also realized the importance of maintaining a calm and steady mindset, as it allowed me to stay composed and make thoughtful decisions about each step I took. Through this experience, I not only strengthened my endurance but also built new skills in patience, adaptability, and focus. By the end of the trek, I could clearly see how these challenges had helped me grow and feel more confident in handling unfamiliar and demanding situations.
Learning Outcome 4: Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences.

Throughout the trek, there were moments when the muddy path and long hours of walking made me feel exhausted and tempted to slow down or stop. However, I reminded myself of my goal to complete the trek and chose to keep moving forward. Each step felt like a test of my commitment, and pushing through the discomfort showed me how important perseverance is when faced with challenges. What helped me most was focusing on the end result and encouraging myself not to give up midway. By staying consistent and determined, I was able to complete the trek successfully. Reaching the waterfall at the end felt incredibly rewarding because it reminded me that the effort and persistence I put in had truly paid off.
