Bhavar Kada Waterfall – CAS activity

On 25th July 2025, as part of my CAS activity, I went on a one-day trek to Bhavar Kada Waterfalls. We started early in the morning and returned home late in the night, completely exhausted but satisfied. The trek lasted about four hours, it took us through a muddy and slippery trail, which made the journey quite challenging. Despite the tough conditions, reaching the waterfall and experiencing nature up close was an unforgettable and rewarding experience.

Learning outcome 1: Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth
The trek lasted for 4 long hours, which felt like forever. The trek not only tested my physicality but even my mental state. I had to stay determined till the end of the trek to complete it. I couldn’t give up mid way through the trek. The trek was slipery and muddy which helped me discover that I could stay calm and composed during difficult times. However, there were times during the trek where I felt fatigue and realised that I need to work on my physical endurance. While trekking, one of my friends had slipped which made her lose confidence in continuing the trek and keeping up with us. I helped her by providing support and helped walk her safely through the muddy areas.

Learning Outcome 2: Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills.
This trek was not just some stroll I had to do. It was about quick thinking, collaboration and of course endurance. I learnt how to step out of my comfort zone and adapt to challenges and how to face them, it required physical efforts and mental focus. At the beginning of the trek, I wasn’t sure if I could be able to complete the trek considering the muddy an slippery paths. However, as I progressed, I learnt how to adapt and think quickly to adjust in the situation and my approach. Every single challenge I faced helped my problem-solving skills and made me be a critical thinker so I could come up with solutions. Towards the end of the trek, I could see my growth and improvement to stay clam and composed, especially under pressure to overcome the new difficulties.

Learning outcome 4 – Show perseverance and commitment in CAS experience
I stayed persistent during the trek from the start to finish, even during the moments it beome tough for me to due to mental barries ro physical endurance. No doubt, there were time when I felt like giving up but I fought that feeling and proceeded with the trek because I wanted to finish the trek. I can say that this trek helped me become perseverant by putting in the efforts to overcome the challenge faced. By sticking to the trek and not giving up mid-way helped me achieve my goal of this CAS trip and showed my perseverance and commitment towards this experience. At the end, I saw the breathtaking view of the waterfall and felt like the pain and struggle was worth it in the end.

Learning Outcome 5 – Demonstrate skills and benefits of working collaboratively.
Throughout this trek, I helped my classmates in this CAS trip but providing support and aid whenever needed. Working with them taught me a various skills such as communication skills, sharing ideas, adapting to the situation according to everyone’s perspective. By working together, we achieved our goals of being more efficient and building the trust by working together as a team.
